New York Times: Does Norway Have the Answer to Excess in Youth Sports?

At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, Norway, a nation of just 5.3 million, won more medals, 39, than any other country in the history of the Winter Games. Some 93 percent of Norwegian children participate in youth sports. Instead of parents, the children call the shots in organized youth sport through the country's Children's Rights In Sports declaration, which was introduced in 1987.
